Luxor was a male sired by our foundation male Atlas. His mother was our Vegas (hence the name "what happens in Vegas"). He was born March 26, 2011 at Eclipse White German Shepherds and we co-owned him with Eclipse Kennels.
Luxor's parents Atlas and Vegas were both multi-titled dogs that excelled in both conformation and in performance. His pedigree combines the best white lines with some of the best colored show lines. We expected him to follow in the footsteps of his parents and excel in the show ring and the performance ring and he lived up to our expectations!
Luxor's conformation career was very successful in a very short time. He finished his UKC Championship at 5 days shy of seven months old and his Grand Championship at 17 months. At just 15 months old, he finished his WGSDCII Championship with a 3 point major under a German Shepherd breeder judge. In that same weekend he won Best Opposite Sex in the National Specialty show to earn Select 1 and Grand Victor. He went on to earn his WGSDCII Grand Championship and championships in ARBA, KC USA and UCI as well as UKC Best of Breeds and Group placements.
Luxor also had wonderful success in performance. He finished his UKC Rally Obedience 1 Title at just 10 months old with a score of 97 and third place. At the 2011 UKC Gateway Nationals he earned his first Grand Champion leg and qualified in rally and at the 2012 UKC Premier he earned the Champion Award of Merit and qualified in rally earning Total Dog both times! In total, he earned seven Total Dog awards before he was 19 months old and earned eleven Total Dog awards to date.
Luxor's performance success spanned many different events. He earned 19 rally titles including Rally championships in two different organizations and twelve agility titles in three different organizations. He also earned a championship in dock diving and titles in shed hunting, urban locating, trailing and locating, lost item recovery, and more. He was a trick dog champion, played disc, and competed in obedience.
